We have an opening on our team supporting the Army’s implementation of the Standard Procurement System (SPS).



What You Will Be Doing

  • Supporting operational planning, implementation, and technical sustainment activities associated with current and future DoD contract writing systems (both production and test environments);
  • Performing system and baseline technical upgrades to SPS environments and associated applications;
  • Providing Operations and Maintenance support for an enterprise implementation of the SPS;
  • Supporting the development, review, and delivery of technical project artifacts and deliverables;
  • Participating in multi-organization Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) in support of SPS system implementation and sustainment activities;
  • Performing Quality Control assessments of iterative releases of a GOTS platform and related supporting software;
  • Acting as an advisor to the Government to set the scope of test cycles;
  • Participating in test planning sessions to identify a scope which maximize results while at the same time minimizing costs and not escalating the risk profile beyond tolerances;
  • Reviewing product and software requirements for testability, clarity, and completeness;
  • Providing oversight and assess completeness of all production and testing artifacts;
  • Participating in definition of testing processes incorporating industry best practices;
  • Participating, on a rotating basis, in an after-hours technical support (on call) process (monthly on call rotation);
  • Driving and facilitating efforts to define and execute functional, regression, integration testing;
  • Developing test cases and detailed procedures; and
  • Supporting User Acceptance Testing processes.

What You Need For This Position

  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience supporting SPS enterprise implementations
  • Experience managing both production and test environments, to include all layers of a consolidated, web‐enabled environment including web, application, and data, integration
  • Technical understanding of, and experience supporting all current SPS baselines, components and underlying technologies, as deployed within the production and/or test environments 
  • Experience supporting deployment and maintenance of large-scale and multi‐tiered software implementation(s)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science or related degree
  • CompTIA Security+ CE;
  • ITIL Foundations Certification
  • Two years of experience in software testing environments and the following skillsets/abilities
  • Two years of experience using software development tools including defect tracking systems, source code revision control
  • Technical expertise installing, configuring, and maintaining software and test environments (Platforms: Solaris, MS Server 2012 R2, Sybase)
  • Knowledge of or experience developing and testing back end servers, algorithms, or scientific computing software
  • Ability to break down a large problem into smaller components
  • Basic SQL skills
  • Ability to adhere to and actively participate in the continuous development and improvement of all engineering team quality policies and processes in accordance with industry best practices
  • Motivated to produce high quality work on time with demonstrated ability to learn quickly and find practical solutions
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Must be flexible and adaptable in a start-up environment
  • Experience in software testing environments

If You Have This, It Is A Plus

  • Knowledge and understanding of the DoD Procure-to-Pay landscape, including supporting systems, processes, and organizations.
