What You Will Be Doing

  • Serving as primary technical interface to senior Army customer leadership;
  • Managing planning, implementation, and sustainment activities associated with current and future DoD contract writing systems;
  • Utilizing MS Project to manage an Integrated Master Schedule, to include all technical project activities such as testing, technical upgrades, and maintenance activities;
  • Leading technical risk management activities and approaches, including the sustainment of a technical Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M);
  • Managing technical and functional support teams, and participating in all aspects of project management;
  • Overseeing the development, review, and delivery of technical project artifacts and deliverables;
  • Reviewing the project status on a regular basis with Army customers and program stakeholders;
  • Working with Army customers to execute and analyze business intelligence (BI) reports;
  • Leading multi-organization Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) in support of SPS system implementation and sustainment activities; and
  • Working closely with customers and other project stakeholders to develop and implement strategies for people, process, and technology improvements to facilitate business outcomes.

What You Need For This Position

  • Complete technical implementation support understanding of, and experience supporting all current SPS baselines and underlying technologies, as deployed within the production and/or test environments;
  • Complete understanding of, and experience supporting all SPS software components;
  • Understanding of Continuous Service Improvement (CSI) concepts, including the use of metrics to inform business decisions;
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science or related degree;
  • Project Management Professional Certification;
  • ITIL Foundations Certification; 
  • 10+ years’ experience managing enterprise system implementations;
  • 3+ years’ experience overseeing of SPS enterprise implementations; and
  • Minimum Secret Clearance.

If You Have This, It Is A Plus

  • Knowledge and understanding of the DoD Procure-to-Pay landscape, including supporting systems, processes, and organizations.
