 Are you a talented Strategic Communications Consultant ready to break through barriers and help our clients solve their most complex business challenges? 

 

What You Will Be Doing

A great opportunity exists to manage strategic communications surrounding a major service model structure change for a key Suntiva client. Supporting our customer, a fast moving team of change agents that operate across the Department of Defense, you will:

  • Develop and execute communication strategies and plans with a focus on promoting the client's work and value to the mission
  • Manage communication product development, including newsletters, fact sheets, web sites, social media and brochures for information campaigns and events for stakeholders
  • Plan and execute a variety of events from small to large in scale 
  • Develop briefings, presentations, and other communication tools to support internal and external program audiences
  • Implement Strategic Communications efforts through the full project lifecycle including stakeholder analysis, messaging development, communications planning, implementation and evaluation. 
  • Contribute to the growth and development of Suntiva’s business by developing and delivering client presentations, writing SOW’s and proposals, and enabling the growth of key accounts by delivering high-impact results and building strong relationships

  • Holidays and Personal Leave: Suntiva’s Personal Leave policy is among the best in the DC area. We combine vacation and sick days into a single plan. New full-time employees earn over four weeks per year of personal leave and 10 holidays per year. Part-time employees are also eligible to earn personal leave based on number of hours worked per pay period.
  • Tuition, Training and Professional Development: Reimbursement is available for work-related certifications, training, conferences, and/or college level credits at an accredited undergraduate or post-graduate institution. We also provide up to 40 hours of paid professional development time provided for training, conferences and certifications.
  • Insurance: Suntiva offers medical, dental and vision insurance to all full-time employees, and to regular, part time employees working a minimum of 30 hours per week. Employees are offered a choice of two different medical plans; two dental plans; and a vision plan. Suntiva additionally offers short and long term disability insurance to full-time employees.
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan: Suntiva offers you a 401(k) retirement plan, including both traditional and Roth 401(k) options and a company match subject to a vesting schedule. The 401(k) matching program will match 100% of the first 1% of employee salary deferrals plus 50% of the next 5% of deferrals.

What You Need For This Position

  • Active Secret Security Clearance;
  • A Bachelors degree in Communications or a relevant field;
  • ten years of broad strategic communications experience in a large and complex organization
  • Ability to effectively apply advanced organizational change management concepts and lead change-related management activities;
  • Deep understanding of information technology;
  • Ability to analyze information, develop insights and recommendations that support change management, and furthers communications and organizational development;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and varied client organization;
  • Experience with communications planning and implementation, branding and identity, public and media relations, stakeholder relationship management, outreach, leadership messaging, employee engagement, change management, and event management;
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with senior level government leaders;
  • Strong communications expertise, including experience designing and delivering strategic and operational communication programs and processes that are focused on a diverse stakeholder populations;
  • Experience with Defense government clients with the ability to identify, understand, react to and provide creative solutions to challenges within that environment;
  • Experience leading projects and teams including the development of project goals and objective, plans, timelines, and providing quality assurance of deliverables;
  • Ability to manage several different tasks at one time in fast paced environment.
