What You Will Be Doing

  • Tailoring industry best practices to fit the needs of the client, understanding that people, process, and technology all need to be addressed in system implementation and management
  • Applying rigor and discipline to the development of systems engineering artifacts (such as Requirements, Design, Build, Test Documents), so they are accurate and effective at capturing client needs while also addressing security, technology, and operational constraints
  • Offering a concrete understanding of the entire Systems Engineering Life Cycle, as well as, approaches to “right fit” process to meet operational needs
  • Delivering risk management approaches that enable forward progress while ensuring confidentiality, integrity and availability of system implementations
  • Seeking continual improvement of system and operational improvements by not accepting the “status quo”
  • Leading through influence and serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders by consistently providing objective and practical recommendations in dynamic environments 
  • Understanding and adapting client needs to cloud-based solutions, when appropriate

Holidays and Personal Leave: Suntiva’s Personal Leave policy is among the best in the DC area. We combine vacation and sick days into a single plan.

  • Full-time Suntiva employees earn over four weeks per year of personal leave.
  • After four years with Suntiva, full-time employees earn over five weeks of personal leave per year.
  • Full-time employees also receive nine (9) set holidays and one (1) floating holiday per year.
  • Part-time employees are also eligible to earn personal leave based on number of hours worked per pay period.

Tuition, Training and Professional Development: Reimbursement is available for work-related certifications, training, conferences, and/or college level credits at an accredited undergraduate or post-graduate institution.

  •  Annual reimbursement amount for college tuition upon satisfactory completion (grade B or better).
  • Reimbursement for training, conferences and certifications with prior management approval. 
  • Up to 40 hours of paid professional development time provided for training, conferences and certifications.

What You Need For This Position

  • TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, but comparable accomplishments in systems engineering will be considered 
  • Minimum three years of experience designing, implementing or testing complex systems

If You Have This, It Is A Plus

  • Experience implementing and managing systems within the Intelligence Community
  • Additional certifications such as ITIL v3, Program Management (PMP), Security+, Cloud based services (e.g. Amazon Web Services), and Systems Engineering (e.g. INCOSE)
